Community Overview

Grass Valley and Nevada City boast vibrant downtowns that have served as centerpeices to the community since the Gold Rush of 1849.  Both towns have a historic hotel, antique shops, gift shops, wine tasting, a myriad of restaurants, and many restored Victorian-style homes.  On the outskirts of these towns, you will find rolling green pastures, oak woodlands, or dense conifer forests, depending on the elevation.  Several lakes are scattered throughout the County for your fishing or boating pleasure. The Bear River and the Yuba River offer additional water recreation, including some popular swimming holes.

Nevada County is home to Truckee, Nevada City, Grass Valley, Penn Valley and "The Great Republic of Rough and Ready".  Nevada County is adjacent to Placer County to the south and Yuba County to the west.  Cheryl provides real estate services to the foothill communities of all 3 counties.
